Shortcuts Rebrand Video

The start of 2022 marked a new era for Shortcuts, with a complete brand refresh to complement the software’s new look and feel. We wanted to create buzz and excitement around the new brand. We wanted ATTENTION!

What better way to tell Shortcuts’ story of evolution and give the new logo a stage than with a logo reveal video?

the brief

To launch the rebrand of Shortcuts salon software, the marketing team wanted a video that would tell the story of our companies long-standing history and evolution - adapting to a rapidly changing salon industry.

This video was going to be the first piece of launch content pushed out via Shortcuts’ channels so it needed to be intriguing, punchy, and clearly tell the brand’s story.

What I did

I wrote a script for the video based on the brief of showing Shortcuts’ evolution over the years. I then built the video using a combination of stock video and video clips from past campaign materials. At this point, we then recruited a video editor to add the animations. I constructed the final edit with music and captions ready for launch.
